Purchase Agreement

Thank you for deciding to adopt one of our puppies! We hope to make this an enjoyable and happy experience for you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions/concerns about your puppy at anytime. We offer lifetime support!!

1. Please read the health guarantee completely before putting down a deposit on one of our puppies. By putting a deposit on a puppy you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of this contract.

2. We require a $200 deposit in order to hold the puppy of your choice.

3. This deposit is non-refundable, unless there is a problem and something unforeseen happens to your puppy while in our care. In that case the buyer will have their choice of a full refund or transferring that deposit toward another puppy.

4. If for some reason buyer decides not to get puppy ( changesmind, financial situation changes, ect) deposit is still non-refundable. However, deposit will be held and can be placed on a future puppy of buyer’s choice.

Health Guarantee

1. It will be Breeders decision to decide when the puppy will be ready to go to its new furever home. This will usually be between 7-8 weeks of age. This will depend on the weight of the puppy and how well they are eating dry puppy food. If a puppy isn’t picked up by 8 weeks of age there will be an additional charge of $5 a day for every day after that point. If puppy isn’t picked up by 9 weeks of age, another shot will be administered and this is an additional charge of $20.

2. Your puppy is guaranteed to be in a good health at the time of sale.

3. Your puppy will be up to date on shots and worming at time of pick up. It is very important to continue with your puppy’s vaccination/worming schedule. Please do not expose your puppy to other puppies/dogs that have not been fully vaccinated. Do not put your puppy on the ground or take to public places until your puppy has received all his/her puppy shots. Parvovirus is a deadly virus that your puppy could catch by doing these things prior to getting all shots. Symptoms could show as early has 3-7 days from contracting this virus. After 72hrs of ownership transfer breeder is no longer responsible if your puppy catches Parvo. Breeder will not be responsible for any vet bills. If your puppy has contracracted Parvo before the 72hr of transfer and is confirmed by your vet, owner must send vet bill and labs to breeder as proof. Refund of your pup will be given or puppy replacement if owners so chooses once a puppy of equal value is available. Your puppy isn’t fully protected until it has received all 4 puppy shots at around 15-20 weeks of age.

4. Buyer must have puppy examined by a licensed vet at their own expense within 72hrs of receiving puppy. Documentation must be sent to breeder for health guarantee to be honored.

5. If within 72hrs a licensed vet finds puppy to be unhealthy or unfit for sale, the puppy will be returned to Breeder for a full refund-provided that the puppy hasn’t been injured or neglected. The vet must provide a written statement deeming the puppy “unhealthy”. Breeder reserves the right to have puppy examined by our vet at our own expense for a 2nd opinion.

6. This guarantee does not include health issues caused by neglect or injury from the buyer, minor illness such as colds, allergies, internal parasites or umbilical hernias. However the breeder will disclose any known illness or health concerns with buyer prior to deposit being placed or final sale.

7. The breeder cannot assume responsibility for this puppy after 72 hrs of the sale; it is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure proper care and safety for puppy.

8. Breeder doesn’t assume responsibility for training difficulties or behavior problems puppy may develop.

9. Breeder does not guarantee size of dog at adulthood, but will give you the closest estimate one can offer based off size of parents. Nor does breeder guarantee fertility, or ability to place in shows, but is sold as a top quality pet.

10. Breeder provides a 1 yr health guarantee against congenital defects affecting heart, lungs, kidneys and other organs, if this is to occur buyer must return puppy and breeder will replace puppy of the same breed and value when one becomes available. This excludes diseases or breed prone problems. Some things that can occur can’t be gene tested, so if a dog is a carrier can’t be known. Some things that can be breed prone are IVDD, PerthesDisease , Patellar Luxation and Hip Dysplasia.

11. Buyer agrees that if for any reason they are unable to keep the puppy, they will return puppy to Heart of Dixie Doxies and not place the puppy in another home unless breeder has given permission to do so. If puppy is returned within the 1st 30 days, half of the purchase price will be refunded, the other half goes to keeping puppy current on medical care and advertisement until placed in a new home. If returned after 30 days, no refund will be given.
